Our Story

Located in the Hood River Valley in Parkdale, Oregon, the Log House B&B at Log Barn Farm is a 7 year dream finally coming together.

In 2008 Dick and Edie Polson, owners and builders of their log home and barn, retired from their careers in Portland, Oregon to construct this homestead, plant a cherry orchard with 1600 trees, and tend an abundant vegetable garden. Among their hidden talents are their love for kitchen artistry as chefs, and their enthusiasm for hospitality. They enjoy sharing the local secret, the Columbia Gorge.

In 2016 Dick and Edie opened their home as a B&B. Open year round and located 30 minutes from Mt Hood Meadows and 30 minutes from the Columbia River, this retreat-like atmosphere is the perfect destination for the outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, bird watching, and water recreation. Don’t miss out on 40+ wineries and breweries in the Hood River Valley, a selection of restaurants rivaling Portland or Seattle, and majestic views of Mount Hood and the Columbia Gorge.
